Cause/Issue:

• C3PO is in need of a prosthetic arm
• More than 1.6 million people in US have some type of limb loss (including fingers and toes) ~Amputee Coalition
• It is estimated that more than 500 Americans lose a limb each day but because technology has advanced so much sometimes we can’t even tell if someone has a prosthetic ~ Mobility Works

Idea: to make a prosthetic for C3PO that fits properly

How Idea addresses cause: A lot of prosthetics don’t comfortably fit so I wasn’t to make an arm that fits into the socket

This was my first print out, and it fit pretty well, but it was a right hand. So I changed it to a left hand and made the socket a little smaller.

This was my second print, and it fits really well which is what I was hoping for.

My inspiration is a dolphin. They are graceful amazing creatures, and I want to make my car resemble one. I’ll add fins, head, tail, and more of an arc to reflect its shape.
